Houston GIS Technician
Cinco Energy Services is hiring a GIS Technician with 8-10 years of experience for our growing GIS Energy group in the Houston, Texas, office.
- This position is contract to hire
- Experience with ESRI and/or MapInfo GIS software is required.
- Understanding of Relational Databases and application to GIS is preferred.
- Must have previous Oil & Gas experience.
- Ability to multi task, follow instructions, work well within teams, and read/understand legal/ land descriptions is required.

Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
Cinco Energy Services is seeking a qualified candidate to provide general office administration support to managerial and executive staff. Position is full-time and located in West Houston.
Requirements
Applicant must be able to multi-task and have excellent organizational and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer telephones
- Meet and greet clients and visitors
- Assist accounting staff with data entry, accounts payable
- Create documents using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Assist managerial and executive staff
- Research, price and purchase office supplies and travel arrangements
- Photocopy, fax, mailing and filing
- Setup and coordinate meetings and conferences
- Oversee maintenance staff
- Other office related tasks as needed

Payroll Specialist
Cinco Energy Services has an immediate opening for a payroll specialist in Houston, Texas.
Description of Duties:
• Prepare bi-monthly payroll for approximately 40 W2 employees in three states
• Ability to make journal entries for payroll transactions, adjustments or corrections
• Remit bi-monthly payroll tax to the Federal, State, and local agencies
• Remit bi-monthly 401K employees contribution to 3rd party administrator and prepare yearly payroll census report
• Submit quarterly payroll reports to the Federal, State, and local agencies
• Complete appropriate forms to adjust wage/salary account funds or to correct or balance in special situation
• Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits
• Compile financial, tax, and payroll reports for both internal and external purpose
• Prepares correspondence of a technical nature pertaining to payroll issues.
• Coordinate and interacts with federal and state agencies on issues pertaining to employee compensation and deductions.
• Process accurate and timely year-end payroll reports
• Administer the employees health and dental insurance, prepares employees census for the TWC
• Other accounts payable duties may include 1099 contractor payments
Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum three years of related experience processing multi-state payroll and taxes. Candidate should be able to hit the ground and running. Candidates will be tested for depth of knowledge before hiring
• BA in accounting or finance
• Expert knowledge of Quickbooks Enterprise payroll software-ability to create and edit payroll item list
• Working knowledge of payroll best practices
• Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations
• Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel
• Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
• Detail oriented
• Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures
• Candidate should be a US citizen or green-card holder
